Need Some Help?

Merchants

Please send a request to info@payflex.co.za or submit our enquiry form here and one of our Partnership Managers will be in touch within 48 hours with more information. We have some basic Terms for you to review and accept, and then depending on exactly what Platform you are using you could be up and running to accept Payflex as soon as within 72 hours.

Payflex is available for online transactions only at the moment. To inquire about Payflex complete our enquiry form on our Merchant Section.

We have existing “plug and play” integrations with many leading eCommerce platforms including Magento and WooCommerce with additional integrations under development. Even if we don’t have an integration with the eCommerce platform you use currently, we are happy to look into this and work to get it sorted for you.

There are no up-front Fees or Charges to start accepting Payflex, we simply charge a Merchant Fee on all successful transactions similar to what happens with accepting Credit Cards. Once you have contacted us through our enquiry form one of our Partnership Managers will be in touch to discuss specific fee structures.

We will pay the full purchase amount less our agreed Merchant Fee paid into your allocated bank account no later than two business days after the purchase transaction.

Part of the Payflex service is that as part of your Merchant Fee we take all credit risk so you will always be paid the full purchase amount less our agreed fee. If a Customer misses an installment in the future this is 100% on us to recover from them, but in the vast majority of cases, our Customers pay their installments on time.

Yes. A small fixed fee is charged per transaction to cover third-party payment processing costs.

No. We have no fixed term commitment as we 100% believe in our product so are confident once you start accepting Payflex you will want to stay working with us without needing a contract. If you ever feel Payflex isn’t working for you, you can remove the integration at any time.

Customers

Paying with Payflex online is easy. Shop online with one of our Partner Retailers as you usually would. When you get to the payment page (usually after adding delivery details), select Payflex as a payment method. If it’s your first time shopping with us, you’ll need to enter some personal details (just name, date of birth, address and ID number) so we can do a quick automatic ID check and credit assessment. Our system does this in real-time and if it’s all approved, and you agree on the instalment schedule, we’ll take the first instalment. Once accepted, the retailer will send the goods (or prepare them for pickup) as they would with any other payment method.

Nope, we’re not like traditional finance companies. As long as you pay your scheduled payments on time you will only pay the ticket price advertised by our Partner and not a cent more. Our business works by getting a small fee from the Payflex partner you’re shopping with. But if you miss a scheduled payment, and don’t process a payment before midnight on the day it is due, we do charge an R65 (incl. VAT) default fee and a further R65 (incl. VAT) for every week it is outstanding to a maximum of 3 charges, so make sure you have money in your account in advance of your payments coming out. We email you in advance every time as a reminder.

The first time you use Payflex , we need some details from you (just name, date of birth, address and driver’s licence number) so we can do a quick automatic ID check and credit assessment. Our system does this instantaneously and if it’s all approved, you agree the payment schedule and we take the first payment. If you don’t have a driver’s licence, you can send us an email to support@payflex.co.za letting us know so we can verify you the old-fashioned way.

Your credit/spending limit is set based on a number of factors, but this primarily comes from your Credit Score. Over time, your spending limit can increase if you’ve shown good repayment history with Payflex (so keep up with your payments!), or if your Credit Score information is updated. If you miss or default on your Payflex payments, then your limit will decrease so make sure you pay on time.

The maximum spending limit provided is R3,000, but your limit will depend on your individual credit assessment. If you purchase regularly using Payflex and always make your repayments on time then we may increase your spending limit.

To shop using Payflex, you need: – To be over the age of 18 – To have an South African issued Visa or Mastercard (both debit and credit are good) – Be living in South Africa – A good credit history (our automated system will review this when you sign up)

Given we are giving you access to finance, our system assesses a number of factors to work out your spending limit (primarily a Credit Check) so if you don’t meet our minimum requirements you may be declined. We do this as are committed to ensuring our Customers are in a position to make their repayments on time.

We won’t charge any fees or interest if you pay on time, but if you do miss a scheduled payment a R65.00 (incl. VAT) default fee is added to your account, with a further R65.00 (incl. VAT) applied for every week the payment is unpaid. Our default fees are capped at R195.00 (incl. Unfortunately, we have no control over the goods you have selected to buy or their delivery. Any issue with the stuff you have bought needs to be raised directly with the Retailer and is subject to their terms and conditions.

Returns are between you and the retailer. If any refund is agreed in accordance with the retailer’s terms and conditions, the retailer can process a refund on your Payflex order.
